S’mores Milkshake

One night I had a craving for a milkshake.  So I browsed the internet to see what I could come up with for milkshake recipes.  Of course, I needed something with ingredients we already had on hand. (Since we live out in the country, it’s not practical to make a run for one or two items.)

…and this is the milkshake I came up with.  First of all, it has Nutella as an ingredient.  The hubby loves Nutella, so I was pretty sure this one would be a winner.  Also, did you notice the title of this post? A S’mores Milkshake??  In my book, you can never go wrong when something involves the word S’mores.  The hubby and I are total fans of all things s’mores.

This milkshake is super easy to make and very tasty.  The s’mores certainly did not disappoint.  This is pretty much our go-to milkshake now and I try to keep plenty of vanilla ice cream on hand for it 🙂

If you have a personal blow torch (aka a kitchen torch), toasting the marshmallows will be super fast.  But for the rest of us…  I used my little toaster oven and set it to broil.  Just watch it carefully because you don’t want the marshmallows burned to a crisp.  You may want to lightly grease the pan you broil the marshmallows on as well, they stick pretty easily.  I flipped them on the other side to cool as soon as I took them out of the oven, that way they wouldn’t stick to the pan.  Also, make sure you have some good quality vanilla ice cream.  Trust me, you’ll be able to taste the difference.  (We love Blue Bunny’s All Natural Vanilla, so tasty, plus it has been on sale all summer!!)
